Sampson And Saul
Sampson looked with mild disgust at the image before him. Never, ever, he vowed to himself, would he pick up another guy over the internet! Not only had this thing lied about his name, he had mis-represented himself all around. He called himself Jason. A nice masculine name. His real name, as it turned out, was Elmer. He’d told Sampson, via the internet, that he was 6’2, 180lbs of solid, well toned muscle; sky blue eyes, and long jet-black hair. When Sampson had let himself into the hotel room, (the agreed upon meeting place), there on the bed was a short, fat balding man, with watery red eyes! He also weighed about 200lbs if he weighed an ounce! Not one to hurt anybody’s feelings, Sampson had endured an hour of wet sloppy kisses, clammy groping hands and mounds of sweaty flesh! Yuck! In any case, it was over. Elmer was dressed and leaving. Sampson was going into the bathroom to shower and disinfect his mouth! And since he had the hotel room until the next morning, he decided when his shower was over with, he would walk to the nearest liquor store, come back to the room and nurse his wounds while dulling his senses.
True to himself, he finished his shower in record time, and walked to the store to pick up some beer. When he stepped back out into the street, he shivered with the cold and hurried down the sidewalk back to the hotel. As he passed the desk, he overheard the hotel clerk saying to someone, “Look, I understand that it’s freezing outside, but I’m sorry young man I can’t help you! I’m booked solid and unless someone is willing to share their room with you, you’re going to have to leave. The boss doesn’t allow loiterers.”
Sampson started to walk away until the object of the clerks tirade turned around. There walking toward him, was the most beautiful boy he’d ever seen! Crystal green eyes, shoulder length blond hair, and an air or (almost) pure innocence. He was probably about 5’7 150lbs. Which was the perfect compliment to Sampsons 6ft frame. Not one to pass up an opportunity, Sampson spoke up.
“Excuse me Miss,” he said to the clerk. “I’ll share my room with him.” The young man stopped and stared. The dejected look slowly disappearing from his eyes to be replaced with shy gratitude. The hotel clerk looked up sharply and her eyes narrowed. “Aren’t you sharing your double room with someone else already?” She asked suspiciously. “I was,” Sampson said firmly. “But he was called back to the office (a bold lie) on an emergency. And I really don’t see what difference it makes who shares the room with me….I paid for a double and if he joins me there will be two people . . . . .
